Diet and Lifestyle

Our 21st century society presents many challenges to our bodies...time stress, job stress, refined foods, additives, alcohol, drugs, pesticides, herbicides, medications in the food chain such as antibiotics, other chemicals we are exposed to in our environment such as toxic emissions from industry and automobiles, even additives such as chlorine and flouride in our water!

This puts a huge burden on our body to process and detoxify.  The organs immediately affected by this detoxification process are :

the Liver
Responsible for over 400 tasks, this amazing organ  is absolutely vital for the body's wellbeing...check out the articles below for more detailed information on the liver and how you can assist and support it in its incredible work

the Lungs
Precious purveyors of oxygen in, and waste carbon dioxide out, the lungs filter all air-borne particulate to protect our bodies

the Kidneys
These small paired organs excrete the wastes urea and ammonium, and also help regulate  electrolytes, the acid-base balance, and blood pressure.  They also provide reabsorption of glucose and amino acids.

the Skin
Toxins which are not eliminated via the digestive or renal pathway can also be expressed through the skin, showing up as rashes, eruptions in boils or pimples, or other skin ailments

the Colon
This often-overlooked-but-vital organ provides storage and processing of fecal waste, primarily composed of what is left over after the digestion of food.  It is most important to have waste moving through this passage regularily, because if the colon is sluggish the toxins that need to be eliminated can instead be re-absorbed by the blood into the system, causing what is known as autointoxication

the Lymph
The clear fluid which circulates around the body tissues, carrying nutrients to cells and carrying toxins/waste away from cells.  It also helps fight infection by production of lymphocytes (special white blood cells) and macrophages (killer cells of foreign invaders).

Barbara :
Thank you for your expert advice and thoughtful approach to my nutritional teaching.
I came out of your sessions feeling rejuvenated and ready to make the changes I needed to make.
I would also advise anyone experiencing abnormal bowel and stomach issues to visit you and discuss Colon Hydrotherapy.
I will be back, because I know it works!
Thank you,
